In the Media Center we are communicators. Communicators enjoy reading with others, talking about books, listening to each other's opinions and ideas, recommending books they have read, writing about books, and making projects showing what they have learned from their inquiries.

In the Media Center we are open minded. Open-minded students enjoy reading a wide variety of books with differing perspectives that expose them to new ideas and different ways of thinking. Open-minded students make sure to include different perspectives in their inquiries.

In the Media Center, we are balanced. Balanced students are balanced readers who choose from a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction materials. They might read from a different genre each week such as: fantasy, historical fiction, science fiction, biography, adventure, humor, realistic fiction, folk tales, informational texts, or poetry. They use a variety of sources in both print and electronic formats for their inquiries.
